Woo! 20 Followers!

Just wanted to say that thanks to Elijah Lightthief, this blog has gotten 20 followers! And thanks to you all, we have over 4500 views! I can't wait until we have 5000 views, and then I can host a party with you guys! Remember to vote on the poll (though at this point I don't think it matters, as Pirate Ship is 5 votes ahead of everything else). Sorry for the short post, but I have to go, I should be resuming full length posting tomorrow.

Poll Results

Well, The poll did have three days left, but when one side is up by seven votes, I don't think the other has a chance of making a comeback. The winner is.... Make a new house! So I have a new poll up, to decide which house to make next. Personally, I want to do the Krok digsite, but I put the poll up to decide what you guys want. If you need info on the houses to help you decide, check the new houses tab. Since The Battlefield is done, I will be taking pictures of it today, and adding it to my list of finished houses. Also, I have 4500 page views right now, and some people have really wanted me to do a party. So, when we get to 5000, I'll host a party. That's all I have for now, check back in an hour or two if you would like to see the finished battlefield.

The New House Ideas Tab

This is just a quick update on the house ideas tab. I added a few new ideas, and I would love for you guys to comment on the discussion post. Please check it out, and also vote on the poll while you're at it! Now on to a completely different topic. Have you guys seen Wintertusk? Wow. That's all I'm going to say. I've seen some pretty cool stuff (including an amazing animation of granny raven turning into a giant raven) on various videos. If you can't get on test realm I encourage you to check out all the videos on Youtube. Also, with Wintertusk comes interactive musical housing items! Check this out! As for the storyline of Wintertusk, what I've picked up is that there are four sons of the frost giant. The frost giant is asleep, and to wake him up you need four golden seals that each of the sons has. Now either you want wake up the giant, or you want the seals to keep the ravens from waking up. I haven't figured that out yet. I have lots of questions about Wintertusk. Is there a find the smiths type quest for it? Is Zeke even in that world? I guess not, since it turns out that Wintertusk is not a new world. It's just an expansion of Grizzleheim. It shares the same world map as Grizzleheim, and Northguard is it's commons. Guess that, means we won't have any Wintertusk housing.... Well, time to go check out some more Wintertusk videos! Happy Wintertusk Exploring!

Wintertusk: I TOLD YOU SO!

HA! I said that KI probably had been working on wintertusk for a while, and that they would bring it out really soon, well, it looks like I was right! I checked out the update notes, and saw lots of awesome things! They range from new pets and spells, too a new legendary tower! Although, my favorite things were these....

Wand Stitching
Eloise has been improving her skills and she can now take the stats of one casting implement (wand, sword, etc) and place it onto the appearance of another casting implement (wand, sword etc.) Just like stitching clothing, follow her instructions carefully to ensure you choose the right items for the right effects! This transaction costs Crowns.

Statues are no longer "Limit 1"

  1. Accuracy and damage enchantment cards can now be applied to Drain spells.
Yes! Finally! The day all necromancers have been waiting for! *throws the old skeletal pirate spells away and sticks in the wraith*
As for the statues, that is great news for us housing maniacs. Just imagine a hall filled with statues, no longer limited by the "Limit 1". Too bad it isn't like that for mannequins too....

As for the wand stitching, that sounds pretty cool.... I may have to stitch my big "Snake Oar Staff" (The Death level 55+ staff, Cursed Staff) into something to match my fire robe.

Now you guys would probably think that Wintertusk would be my favorite thing. The only reason it isn't, is because I am no longer a member. I also skipped half of Grizzleheim, so to use crowns, I would have to buy a lot.

Also, since I'm not a member, I can't get on test realm. Darn. So you guys go out there and have fun, to make up for my loss. In other news, I pretty much finished the battlefield. The only thing left is to put robots. The only thing is, a part of me wants to leave it how it is. Due to the fact that the battlefield is pretty dark and gloomy, even for a death wizard, it is getting hard to look at for long periods of time. Also, I am pretty limited with the 150 housing item limit it has on the outside. Therefore, I can't put as much detail as I would like. So I am leaving the choice to you guys. There is a poll to the left of this post. I want you guys to vote on whether I should farm a ton of money to buy some robots, or simply leave this house how it is, and move on to another. Before you vote, I just want to say that I have tons of great ideas, but I also would love yours! On the housing ideas tab, there is a link where you guys can post your ideas of new houses you would like me to decorate.

I guess I should stop wasting time that you could be using in the test realm, so happy test realm testing!

Night Time Mode in The Crowns Houses

Night Time Mode has become a very popular topic I believe. And I can really see why. The Spiral is an entirely different place in the dark. The only possible downside is that in somne cases, it's so dark that you can't get around. I actually had that problem yesterday when 'Little Malorn' was exploring Unicorn Way. Most of the time I had the original Malorn go to the places and Little Malorn would teleport. Also, thanks for the mention at Homework in a Graveyard. Anyways, here are the pictures I took of the Crowns Houses at night!

                                     The Island Getaway Beach

                                             Dragon's Fjord Outside
                                          Dragon's Fjord Mini Nidavellir
                                             The Fire House Tower
                                             Storm House Inside
                                              Balance House Outside
                                             Life House Outside

Night Time Mode on top, normal on bottom.

Now the Death House wasn't all that different at night. Notice that the one on the left (Night Time Mode) is a little bit darker than the one on the right (Normal). It just occured to me that I should have taken a picture of the furnace in the basement instead. Oh well, maybe next Night Time Mode.
                                                    The Myth House
                                         And Finally, the Ice House.
Also, I want to include this last picture as well. It's not a Night Time Mode picture, but I realized that I haven't put any updates on The Battlefield recently. I haven't had much time to work on it (since I've been gone for the past week), but I managed to finish the library area. As I type this, I am farming for money to work on the last area. After this, I just have to farm up a ton of money to buy a bunch of robots. Here is the library
It is definently my favorite part of the house.
Until next time!

Night Time Mode Hits Wizard City

This morning I was a bit bored so I decided to have a little party. In the end, only a few people came. But, to host this party, I used the port bus I call 'Little Malorn'. Little Malorn is just Malorn Ghostrider, on another account. I only ever use him for parties, so he is only a level 1. Anyways, when I was having people teleport to my house, Night Time mode came! Now this time, it was a bit strange for a couple of reasons. For one, most other Night Time modes came late at night, but this one came early in the morning. The other strange thing was that it was only Night Time mode on Little Malorn. This really restricted the areas I could explore, because he is not a member. So I decided to explore Wizard City, at night. Now Night Time mode is a very interesting thing. It's not just that everything is dark. In Night Time mode, everything but lights are darker, and there are also strange clouds in the sky. Here is one of the earliest pictures of Night Time mode I have.
You can't really see the clouds in this picture, but keep an eye out for them in the pictures I am about to show you. Oh, and if you're wondering who Myrna Nightrider is, she was the original creator of this blog. In fact, if you look up at the URL, it says myrnamalorn.blogspot.com. Unfortunately she completely abandoned Wizard101 a while ago. Ok, on to the other pics!

Dragon's Mouth Cave

Golem Tower, cloud is to the left.

The Hedge Maze, if you look to the right, you can see one of those clouds.

Triton Avenue. This street was a bit different, instead of switching the sky to black with the clouds, it kept it's original sky.

The Kraken Pad, if you look closely, you can see his lightning bolt.

Olde Town, a few clouds in the background.
                                                  Shopping District

The Fountain in the Shopping District,
                                        that money bag is Eggbert
Headmaster's Tower

The Commons

And this last picture is actually a picture of The Island at night. Those purple and red things are the crystals of the crystal cave. I do have more pictures of this encounter with Night Time mode, but I see this post is getting a bit long already. All of those pictures are of the crowns houses at night. Some look pretty cool, while others (The Death and Fire houses especially) don't look all that different, because they already are dark. The life and myth houses are my favorites, and it was in a life house that I first saw Night Time mode. I thought it was a glitch the owner did, but as it turns out, he couldn't even see it! Until next time!

I'm Back!

Sorry for not posting for a week. There have been lots of things going on this past week, and I haven't had any time to get on Wizard101, or post. I will continue to work on my house, and I will post more about that soon. Just wanted to alert you guys that I did not drop off the face of the spiral. A full length post should come soon. Until then, I'll see you in the spiral!

P.S. @The Heroic Pyromancer- As you can tell by the above post, I am now available for meeting.

Battlefield Update

Just a quick announcement on the subject of the crowns shop, all the stuff from test realm is on the live realm, for an enormous amount of crowns. With it comes a Bunny Outfit. Here is a quick pic that shows the proper use of said Bunny Outfit....
The Friendly Necromancer
Friendly has chosen his latest header. Other headers have included a weird brown outfit, celestia clothing, Indian Headress and Death clothes, and just a doodle of him with bat wings. Now that I have that over with, I can continue with the Battlefield. A lot has been going on this week, so I haven't been able to work on it too much, or post a lot. I probably won't be posting a lot over the next week either. Anyways, here is the battlefield!
I believe we left off at this bridge. I managed to put a few cyclops warriors here (four in fact). At the very end I plan on adding the robots. So the house might seem a bit empty until then.

Going up the stairs you see more rock shards. Some even have tiki torches to make them have a grey smoke, which is more visible at long distances than the small smoke stacks that I used in other rocks.

Here is the robot's base camp, as well as the prisoner camp for the pets.

I might add some sort of robot-making machine up here. I'll probably mix a few water pumps and some glowing celestia thing together for that.

View of the battlefield.

Now we enter the inside. It's full of rock shards and smashed furniture. Most of the furniture was made up of the worn beds and chairs, and some krokotopian wooden items (because of the dark color).

The inside is a huge maze of rocks, it's actually a little confusing.

Finally you get to the stairs.

Like I said, it's quite a maze. At one point you come to more stairs, but, they are blocked. The only way to get to that area is to go around the battlefield, near the Survivors Camp.

Right now this is the end of the maze. I will add a lot more rocks, so the path loops back and forth. At the end there will be a robot blockade of the Library
And here is the library. This wallpaper won't stay, I just kept it for now because it is the original wallpaper, and I spent all my money on buying the rocks and books. I don't know how much I'll be able to post over the following week, but It probably won't be a lot. Happy House Decorating!

P.S.
As a true housing fanatic, I love whenever a housing showcase comes out on Paige's Page, so here's the latest if you guys want to check it out!

The Island is a Success

Finally, a month after it's completion, I decided to put my house to a test. I decided to show it to Paige Moonshade. And today (actually about 15 minutes ago), she visited it. After a short tour, she told me what she thought. And she thought it was great! She even said that she would showcase it sometime! Later this week she'll come back to take pictures of it, but until then, keep an eye out on Paige's Page for my house! Happy House Decorating!

Another Cool House

Here is a cool house I saw today, I don't know who owned it, but they did a great job on it!

 Nice little rock garden here.
I like the flower shape the fountains made.

There is a mini-game in every one of the tents.

This was definently my favorite part of the house, the rootbeer room.

The kitchen was a bit empty, but it's probably not finished.
Sorry for the short post, but I have to go. See you in the spiral!
